Medical Center Emergency Services is an independent, non-profit, academic-based group of Emergency Medicine physicians and professionals. We currently staff all four Detroit Medical Center (DMC) Emergency Departments in the Metro Detroit area.
As experts in Observation Medicine, all of our emergency medicine physicians serve as faculty in the emergency medicine department at Wayne State University.
We provide high-quality and efficient care in an evidence-based teaching environment.
At MCES, our physicians and staff consider research and training a leading focus in our programs. We are dedicated to providing medical students and residents with diverse and vigorous clinical experience in an evidence-based teaching environment.
We oversee and manage the emergency medicine resident physicians at Detroit Receiving Hospital and Sinai-Grace Hospital.
Our DMC hospitals also have numerous physicians performing fellowships related to core areas of emergency medicine.
We are ranked highly for emergency medicine funding and grants. This leads to many exciting research opportunities for our hospitals.
We are proud to provide emergency medical services through four hospitals within the metro Detroit area. Our two high-volume hospitals, Detroit Receiving Hospital (DRH) and Sinai-Grace Hospital (SGH) maintain emergency medicine residency programs, responsible for training the next generation of emergency medicine physicians.
Our emergency medicine physicians provide care quickly while maintaining safety and quality patient care standards when seconds matter. In collaboration with Wayne State University, we support the Detroit Medical Center’s clinical excellence goals in these core areas of clinical emergency care.
